Curriculum Philosophy
QuesTECH Learning utilizes a blended instructional model that combines teacher-directed instruction with a comprehensive online learning platform. This model provides students with rigorous, standards-based instruction while allowing for differentiated learning, individualized intervention, and mastery-based progression.
Benefits of Blended Learning
QuesTECH Learning's blended learning model combines high-quality, teacher-led instruction with standards-aligned online coursework to provide a personalized and engaging educational experience. This instructional approach allows teachers to deliver direct instruction while using technology to reinforce learning, monitor student progress, and differentiate instruction based on individual needs.
Blended learning offers numerous educational benefits, including increased student engagement, immediate feedback, flexible pacing, individualized support, and greater opportunities for mastery of academic standards. Students benefit from face-to-face interaction with teachers while developing digital literacy, independent learning skills, and personal responsibility through online coursework.
This model also enables teachers to use real-time assessment data to identify learning gaps, provide targeted interventions, enrich instruction for advanced learners, and ensure all students receive the support necessary to achieve academic success. By integrating traditional instruction with technology-enhanced learning, QuesTECH Learning prepares students for success in college, careers, and an increasingly digital world.
All courses are aligned with the Louisiana Student Standards, the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) requirements, and Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) graduation requirements.
Admissions:
Open Enrollment:
QuesTECH Higher Learning has an open, non-discriminatory admissions policy. QTHL welcomes and admits qualified learners regardless of race, creed, color, ethnic identity, religion, sex, gender, nationality, or place of origin. QTHL is well suited for high-potential students whose primary challenge is dyslexia and/or ADHD and/or autism. The school does not admit students who struggle in school because of behavioral difficulties, severe attention problems, severe receptive and expressive language disorders, or less-than-average intellectual abilities. The approximate 1:8 teacher-to-learner ratio enables a learner to enter our program during the year while minimizing transition problems and issues.
Tuition:
Tuition costs for a full academic year are $7600, a $50 art fee, and a $250 fundraiser ticket sales commitment. The academic year begins in August and ends in May. QuesTECH Higher Learning follows the local public school schedules as closely as possible. Fees for learners who enroll for less than a year are prorated. We offer different payment plans. Parents are required to participate in the annual fundraiser sponsored by QuesTECH Learning. See below for scholarship information.
Payment & Scholarships:
The Tuition Payment Agreement enables parents to pay tuition by the month or by semester. A $250 discount aids parents who pay tuition in full as of August 1 of the current year. QuesTECH Higher Learning does participate in the Louisiana Scholarship Program as well as the Tuition Donation Rebate Program (Arete Scholars and Ace Scholarships). Call for information.
